Thihi Lugano known as Melodie D’amour was born in Kinshasa, DR Congo where she lived until the age of 13 when her parents decided to move to the US in Portland Oregon. Like most African families, Melodie would attend church with her parents and soon developed a love for singing and dancing.

After graduating from High School, Melodie attended Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. There she majored in Public Health Management and temporarily put aside her dreams of becoming a singer. During her senior year in 2012 she decided to pursue her singing career and released her first single titled “ Party Hot”. Melodie released several singles, such as “ Virus, Touch and Choc”.

Today Melodie is an independent Afro-Pop artist who’s goal is putting African music back on the world map.

Currently Melodie D’amour has her first EP out on the market titled RAINBOW.
